Burger King had a big campaign about their new
French fries in the late
'90s, cumulating with their launch on /Free Fryday/, where they handed-out free small fries to whoever was in line.
The new fries had a distinctively more-fried taste to them, unlike the pleasant more potato-like fries they previously had.
