They won't let me change outgoing caller identification information

It seems that every VoIP service provider that I've seen that connects to the plain old telephone system will override the caller identification information that you send to them with what they have on file. The exception to this is Vitelity whose business is designed for people who want POTS connectivity and nothing else.
