Ultima The Black Gate

Ultima: The Black Gate is a console game originally written for the SNES that was inspired by the Ultima VII PC game.

Given Nintendo censorship policies, the story line was changed; and given the limitations of the console platform, the gameplay sucked. In order to run on the home console, the game needed to completely rewritten losing much of the defining aspects of the Ultima series.
