LibPurple based XMPP clients

My Opinion of LibPurple based XMPP clients:

I've yet to see anything approaching a decent XMPP (Jabber) client that is based around Pidgin's (formerly Gaim) libPurple. This includes, most notably, the Mac OSX client Adium.

None of these clients correctly supports the standard message type, instead treating all XMPP messages as chats.

Admittedly, they have made strides recently, with Pidgin finally supporting resources in a half-way reasonable way. However, there is still the case of the phantom resource where a Pidgin chat dialog will confuse the actual resource that it is talking to and causing a disruption in dialog.
