This is by far the most common angle for photographing Machu Picchu. It has Huayna Picchu in the background, with the most of the lost city itself in the foreground.
This is the point on my visit where I regretted not having a wide-angle lens, since it was impossible to get the angle I wanted. If you're taking the bus instead of hiking, I definitely suggest bringing a wide angle lens for the shots from the end of the trail, overlooking the lost city.
The light that burns twice as bright, burns half as long.
