The Brain was, and is, a /Visual Information Management/ program. Consider it analogous to a wiki and a graph of its nodes. The company was founded in 1996 and provides both a personal version and a group collaboration version.

I've never actually used the software, and am only familiar with it via a '90s review in the back of a trade rag.
