My Opinion of Two-factor authentication:

Two-factor authentication is authentication that requires two distinct methods, compared to single-factor authentication such as simply a password ("something you know"). Two-factor authentication usually uses a password in combination with unique hardware ("something you have") such as a smart card, or biometric information (sometimes referred to as "something you are"; although really this is just another instance of "something you have").

Requiring a second password, or other remembered information in addition to an initial password is not a form of two-factor authentication.
