Wikipedia's arbitrary attack on software

My Opinion of Wikipedia's arbitrary attack on software:

Peter Saint-Andre mentioned through his weblog about the recent rash of Wikipedia deletion discussions surrounding numerous software applications. The ridiculousness is only demonstrated by the fact that ejabberd has been on the chopping block despite being used by numerous major XMPP installations such as LiveJournal, Facebook.com, and Nokia Ovi (I didn't even know the last one until this discussion). It's also one of the coolest chat servers I've ever ran, and seems both much easier to manage and configure than the original jabberd.
