Bohmian.org presents a philosophical quandary as to when does a
web page exist?
Bohmian.org always returns a "200" status OK response when it returns an object's
discussion page, even in cases where there is no data provided yet. This, I've noticed, has had the unplanned effect that
web search engines often include these pages in their results.
There are a few ways of looking at this issue. One is in a traditionally philosophical way, upon which I would trend towards an argument reminiscent of
George Berkeley, and that these pages exist merely by their reference or the attempt to instantiate them. Now this does not mean they're necessarily
useful, which would be another issue, and an alternative way of looking at the problem.
